The scale, urgency and nature of the work affect the fee; an initial conversation helps define the appropriate brief.
Agree how any proposed additional enquiries and their costs will be considered before extending the brief. Ask which expenses or third-party work are included in the proposed commercial terms.

The deliverable depends on the instruction. Asset tracing develops a documented picture of ownership and control. Due diligence examines the people and interests behind a decision. A technical engagement may produce a defined security assessment. Discuss the findings, supporting material, unresolved questions and reporting format you need when scoping the work.
