A company reports a missing payment. A consultant was last associated with a meeting in Marbella. Your team must establish the recipient, the relevant people and which enquiries are justified.

Practise making contact and building rapport with role-players. Work through everyday challenges such as reaching the right person or asking about a fully booked table.
Investigative interviewing
Gather information through conversation and interviewing. Assess how questions, assumptions and context affect the account you receive.
Resourcefulness, planning and practical judgement
Plan an assignment around a subject of interest. Decide what information is relevant, what remains uncertain and how the team will report its findings.
Integrated exercises, reporting and debrief
Combine the team’s findings. Compare accounts, identify contradictions and present the next enquiries at the debrief.

A financial investigation provides the scenario for a supervised team exercise. Research, contact-building and interviewing produce different parts of the account. Participants bring those findings together and explain what they support.
