What people ask first.
Can you tell whether a screenshot or recording has been altered?
Often, but not always. A screenshot or forwarded copy carries little information, so we try to obtain the original device, account or file and examine its metadata and surrounding records. The report states clearly what the material can and cannot support.
Can deleted messages be recovered for a legal dispute?
Sometimes. It depends on the device, the app, any backups and how long ago the messages were deleted. Devices are examined only with proper authority, and findings are documented so they can be relied on in proceedings.
